Kids + Sound is a joyful and nurturing class designed to introduce children ages 6-13 to the world of holistic healing practices, all while fostering a deeper connection between parent or caregiver and child. Through the magic of Yoga Nidra and sound healing, we create a playful and welcoming environment that helps children experience calm, relaxation, and connection at an early age.
This class combines gentle movement, guided relaxation, and sound frequencies to support children in their emotional and physical well-being, all while creating space for the parent or caregiver to bond with their little one.
Each session focuses on:
1. Yoga Nidra for Playful Relaxation & Connection
In this class, children are gently guided through the practice of Yoga Nidra, a form of guided relaxation that invites them to rest, unwind, and connect to their own body and breath. Yoga Nidra helps children:
✨ Promote Emotional Balance – Teach children to notice their emotions and create space for them to process them with ease.
✨ Calm the Nervous System – Help children activate their parasympathetic nervous system to feel relaxed and centered.

The session incorporates sound healing using instruments like crystal bowls, chimes, and gentle percussion, bringing soothing frequencies into the room. These sounds work to:

Introducing holistic practices at an early age helps children develop healthy coping mechanisms, emotional intelligence, and resilience. The class begins with light movement and breathwork designed for children to engage with their body and mind. Then, we guide the group into a short Yoga Nidra practice, where children (and parents) can lie comfortably and listen to the soothing sounds of crystal bowls, chimes, and other instruments. As the session continues, sound healing vibrations fill the room, helping to deepen the relaxation and enhance emotional release. Throughout the class, playful elements are woven in, ensuring the experience is fun and enjoyable.
